System Administration and Technical Requirements

Although not required, you may upgrade to the latest SAP Analytics Cloud agent version 1.0.375 to take advantage of all data acquisition types.

The agent’s minimum version remains at 1.0.75, with the following exceptions:

  • Version 1.0.99 for SAP ERP/SQL Database

  • Version 1.0.365 for SAP universe (UNX). The SAP Analytics Cloud agent requires additional setup steps, for more details see SAP Note 3262098

  • Version 1.0.353 for SAP Business Warehouse (BW)

  • Version 1.0.235 for SAP HANA View

  • Version 1.0.248 for File Server

For more information, see System Requirements and Technical Prerequisites.

Regarding supported features and required updates for the integration of SAP BW with SAP Analytics Cloud, refer to SAP Note 2541557 for further details.

Regarding supported features and required updates for live universe access through SAP BusinessObjects Live Data Connect with SAP Analytics Cloud, refer to SAP Note 2771921 for further details.

Please download the latest version of the Simple Deployment Kit from Service Marketplace.

  • Note: To avoid downloading older versions and potentially exposing users to a vulnerable bundling of the Cloud Connector with SAPJVM, or Apache Tomcat, only the three latest versions of the kits are available to download.

For Cloud agent version change management details, refer to SAP Note 3264839.

Release Highlights

Dashboard and Story Design

Time Member Disambiguation for Flat Representation in Charts

In the Optimized Story Experience, we have improved the Chart on Time Member Disambiguation in Flat Representation to eliminate disparity between chart and table:

  • Time labels are now the same between chart and table for flat presentation of time hierarchies

  • Story designer can see both 3-letter month and year for charts

Data Integration

IBCS Formatting in BPC Live Connections

BPC live connections: IBCS formatting is now supported in tables.

Enterprise Planning

Data Actions – Consumption of Filters with “All Member” Parameter Enabled

Input controls and story filters can now be defined with an "All"-member selection and still be consumed by data and multi action triggers if at least one member is deselected. Thus, whenever a new member is added to the respected dimension, the input control or story filter does not need to be adjusted again – the new member is available right away and can be consumed by triggers. (SAP Road Map Explorer)

This is available for the Optimized Story Experience.

Planning Trigger – Additional Formatting Options

When setting up a planning trigger for multi actions, data actions, or BPC planning sequences using the Optimized Story Experience in stories, users can now format and customize the trigger. The additional formatting options include choosing the color of the trigger button and icon, uploading an icon, and choosing the font, size, style, and color of trigger text.

Customizing individual trigger buttons provides more flexibility and a more integrated look and feel that matches the user’s preferred theme and design. (SAP Road Map Explorer)

Filter Individual Calendar Events

To focus on specific calendar events or series, users can now filter the calendar or list workspace to show the required events only. If a process is selected as filter, its child events will be displayed as well. Specific events can also be narrowed down through the built-in search functionality.
