The new plug and gain approach: There’s so much you can do in a matter of hours

We are excited to announce the plug and gain approach for the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite. The plug and gain approach combines the strengths of our SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite in a new, ground-breaking manner that allows our SAP ERP customers to prepare faster, deploy faster and continuously optimize the value of their transformation projects.

This approach will be especially useful if you are planning a migration to SAP S/4HANA. It also can be of significant value if you are running SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud private edition and want to understand your processes and improve their efficiency.

Where do I start with my ERP transformation? How do I quickly understand my current status? How do I keep my project on track?

Plug and gain is a new and unique approach to jump start your business process transformation journey. It helps minimize the time and complexity of as-is process state identification, ensuring a clear view on the improvement potential and moving to the desired state with less risk using the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite.

The plug and gain approach will help you:

• Prepare faster

It all starts with your SAP ERP data. With this approach, you can analyze your existing SAP ERP processes with SAP Signavio Process Insights. You can compare the current state of your process performance to industry benchmarks and KPIs. With thousands of performance indicators, you can quickly determine your standing within minutes across the breadth of your processes.

But how this is something great and differentiating, we could already do with SAP Signavio Process Insights. Now, with the plug and gain approach we take this to a level further and deliver additional benefits to our customers.

How? The plug and gain approach helps populate SAP Signavio Process Intelligence with the same data you have been analyzing in SAP Signavio Process Insights. This is very fast, much faster than setting up data connections to generate event logs as you would normally do in traditional process mining.
You start right away with process mining variant analysis, can prioritize and dive deeper. You add depth on top of breadth of analysis and you leverage immediately the data you have available, drastically compressing preparation times. The approach is simply unique in the current process mining market: It sheds light on your processes to help you understand what you are good at, what to keep, what to change, and ultimately, take fast-informed decisions based on data-driven insights.

All this, in a matter of hours, not months or years.

From this foundation, you can then create a repository of your current process models and then define the desired state of your future processes collaborating across your business, based on best practices and inputs from your team.

Deploy faster

The plug and gain approach helps accelerate time to action, make projects efforts more predictable and secure, and integrate SAP Signavio solutions seamlessly into other SAP solutions.
The SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite provides a collection of practices and models as well as seamless integrations specifically dedicated to the SAP solution portfolio. By applying process models and best practices which are the best match to your SAP S/4HANA solution, you can reduce the level of customization and project risks. You can share the models that are being created with all stakeholders, manage change with greater transparency and gain higher management buy-in.

• Realize continuous value

After the project is deployed, the improvement process will not stop. With the plug and gain approach you can understand if you have truly delivered on your business case and establish a culture of continuous improvement. It helps you assess the benefits of your deployment by measuring the end effect of your transformation on your processes, people, and customer experience. It also enables governance of adherence to deployed best practices and prevents unconscious drifting away from standards.

By leveraging the toolchain and digital framework provided, you can enhance your processes through analysis and automation. This enables you to adjust your processes based on best practices, deploy, measure as conditions change, establishing a continuous loop of value creation.

To sum up

Plug and gain is an integrated out-of-the-box approach that reduces time to insights for those organizations preparing for an SAP S/4HANA Cloud migration or those already using SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC and want to improve or transform their processes.

Depending on your goals and your journey, using the plug and gain approach will enable you to:

• Reduce the preparation time for an SAP S/4HANA transformation by defining an as-is state in just a matter of hours.
• Gather a wide and deep as-is status of their whole organization, out-of-the-box.
• Get data-driven insights for first-class transparency on the biggest optimization potentials.
