As the analytics and planning solution within SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud is an end-to-end cloud solution that brings together business intelligence, augmented analytics, predictive analytics, and enterprise planning in a single system. An SAP Analytics Cloud story is a presentation-style document that uses charts, visualizations, text, images, and pictograms to describe data. Analytic applications are similar to stories but give you much more flexibility in creating data analysis planning reports and dashboards tailored to your user's business needs.
Prior to 2023, stories and analytic applications were created in different interfaces in SAP Analytics Cloud, but now you can start with a simple story and then extend it with scripting, custom widgets, and other developer capabilities in the same design interface. And just as SAP Analytics Cloud evolves, so do the learning journeys associated with the product.
SAP is proud to provide a free, self-guided learning journey for simple story creation, leading to certification, on learning.sap.com. Later this summer we will add another free learning journey for more complex, script-driven and customized stories.
