SAP Build was announced at TechEd 2022, as a unified Low-Code portfolio that accelerates development and automation with drag and drop simplicity. It allows business users to create enterprise applications, automate processes and design business sites, all without using any code.
SAP Launchpad service and SAP Work Zone came together under SAP Build Work Zone, with two editions: standard edition (formerly SAP Launchpad service) and advanced edition (formerly SAP Work Zone). SAP Build Work Zone securely integrates with the customers’ enterprise systems establishing a central access point to applications, processes, information, and data on any device. It maximizes team productivity and engagement by enabling guided experiences and knowledge sharing and much more.
SAP Innovation awards celebrates the achievement of future-minded companies and individuals that harness the power of SAP´s latest products and services. This year we published over 200 innovation awards submissions and many of them are stories of new customers. Jumbo Supermarket is one of the winners that had gone live with SAP Build Work Zone. They are one of the biggest supermarkets in the Netherlands with over 700 stores and 10 million customer visits. They chose SAP Business Technology Platform to transform their technology landscape. 73% of their employees indicate that PAL 2.0 has made their job in the store easier.
In addition to the overall Learning Journey for SAP Build, we now have a fresh Learning Journey dedicated to SAP Build Work Zone. This Learning Journey can help you through the process and considerations of implementing SAP Build Work Zone, from initial deployment and system administration to integration setups and extensibility options.
After the successful completion, implementation consultants and IT administrators will be able to explain why SAP is offering SAP Build Work Zone on SAP Business Technology Platform. It also includes a paid certification that can validate that the candidate possesses the fundamental and core knowledge required for the SAP Build Work Zone profile.

One of the most important new feature launched is the previous quarter is the availability of customer domain support. We are excited to announce that custom domain is now officially available across SAP Build Work Zone standard and advanced edition and also SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone. With the move to SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication as an authentication mechanism, custom domains are now fully supported in both editions of SAP Build Work Zone.
Another important enhancement is the integration with the SAP unified inbox, SAP Task Center, across all editions of SAP Build Work Zone. Previously this feature was only available in SAP Build Work Zone, standard edition. Now with the latest enhancement in Q1, the manual and automatic integration setup is available for SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition, and SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone.
