SAP Electronic Invoicing for Brazil (SAP NFE) – End of Maintenance

Hi Everyone, 

I am Cláudia Wada, from SAP Globalization Product Management team and I’ve been working with Nota Fiscal Eletrônica topic for some time, responsible for SAP Electronic Invoicing for Brazil (SAP NFE) solution, also known as SAP GRC NFE. 

Most of you have already heard about the ending of maintenance for SAP NFE 10.0. In this blog post, I’ll describe the details and what is coming next. 

In the SAP Product Availability Matrix, you can check information about all SAP products, including the End of Mainstream Maintenance. For SAP Electronic Invoicing for Brazil (SAP NFE), check below:

The SAP NFE is a product developed in On-Premise and uses NetWeaver as platform. The end of the solution is planned for 31/12/2025. 

What is coming next?

As more and more countries introduced e-invoice regulations, SAP started to offer SAP Document and Reporting Compliance as standardize solution to enable compliance with e-invoices and statutory reporting worldwide. Over the year, to achieve true worldwide standardization, this has been extended to support also NFE for Brazil with the following public cloud services:   

SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, outbound invoicing option for Brazil 

SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, inbound invoicing option for Brazil 

These products are public cloud services based using the SAP Business Technology Platform. SAP manages the communication with Brazilian tax authority Web Services, simplifying the implementation and operational effort on customer side, as well as TCO
