At such events, we present our most recent cloud innovations and showcase how leading customers use our end-to-end business processes to define, develop, deliver, and manage innovative and sustainable products. Together with other customers and partners, the participants can interact with our development organization and learn more about our solution, in both discrete and process industries.
Our first occurrence for the event this year took place on March 28, 2023. We focused on how customers can eliminate data silos by connecting product development to the extended enterprise. The presenters, including our leadership team, shared an introduction to the product and strategic investment areas; our subject matter experts shared highlights of the latest February release (EPD 2302) of the solution including detailed demos for selected topics; and we welcomed guest speakers’ presentations from two customers and one partner company.
Ismail Serin and Carsten Dietze-Selent talked about streamlining PLM with SAP Enterprise Product Development, going into details about how SAP’s integrated Digital Thread is overcoming today’s product development and manufacturing challenges. And shard some thoughts around the strategic investment areas and the product direction.
Bastian Schurr and Lisa Schmitt showcased the new Requirements Valuation Cockpit by CENIT can help to shorten the time to quote in CTO+ and ETO processes.
Gerhard Himmelsbach, went into details about the design data integration and demoed how to integrate design data into the product structure for visualization, versioning and baselining.
Peter Bryngelsson and Vivek Chandola, shared how Sandvik uses SAP Enterprise Product Development to streamline and bring transparency with traceability for their entire product lifecycle.
Nicolai Roed Fogh, showcased how Danish Crown digitalizes their supplier material specifications process using SAP Enterprise Product Development.
Michael Pfenning, went into details about the Handover-to-X topic, elaborating how a streamlined handover process can drive the digital transformation in modern product development and manufacturing.
And finally, Lars Olson, took the audience on a visual digital thread tour by showcasing how to build up a visual digital thread and establish a model-based enterprise.
It was impressive to hear all the updates on the newest innovations and the customer stories, as well as to gain a vivid, varied perspective on the contemporary supply chain and product development. Hearing directly from them how SAP Enterprise Product Development helps to address the challenges faced by businesses is always a rewarding experience for us.
