SAP Signavio Process Explorer: the collective knowledge of SAP consultants and our partners, at a push of a button
The gateway to a myriad of value accelerators and best practices, SAP Signavio Process Explorer is fast evolving to feature content from SAP partners. AdaPro, BearingPoint, BPM&O, Capgemini, EY, Fujitsu, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Scheer, VEA and Tata Consultancy Services, have already embraced the initiative bringing their unique blend of expertise and skills to this community of practice.
When you have a challenge and look for a solution, you go and talk to the expert, right? But what if you had access not only to the knowledge of one mentor, but to the combined knowledge of a whole community of professionals and thought leaders that understand your processes and industry?
In mid-January, we launched SAP Signavio Process Explorer. The solution provides organizations with immediate access to a myriad of value accelerators and resources that can inspire companies in their transformational programs, help them easily find their answers and avoid the complexity of starting from a blank slate.
We like to define SAP Signavio Process Explorer as “the gateway to the collective knowledge of thousands of projects delivered by SAP and its partner ecosystem” and this is not just a marketing buzz.
The whole idea behind the solution is to centralize under one roof the experiential learnings and wisdom that over 20,000 SAP consultants and our partners have developed over decades of transformational projects.
The key role of partners
Importantly, content featured within SAP Signavio Process Explorer, – now largely authored by SAP -, will be further and progressively expanded with content from selected SAP partners who enthusiastically support our value accelerators delivery strategy.
Particularly, SAP partners including AdaPro, BearingPoint, BPM&O, Capgemini, EY, Fujitsu, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Scheer, VEA and Tata Consultancy Services are front-runners in this initiative and have already started to enrich SAP Signavio Process Explorer with their own content and best practices.
At SAP, we have the privilege to work with hundreds of thousands of customers and we are deeply ingrained. The vision is to combine SAP’s experience in process transformation with our partners’ intelligence and industry expertise, bringing to life a community of process and technology experts that not only collects best practices, but shapes new trends and drives innovation. SAP Signavio Process Explorer is the enabler to that vision, it’s the gateway to this combined knowledge.
In a recent meeting, Robert Weller, Head of the Value Accelerator Delivery stated: “SAP partners are a natural extension of our business and value proposition. Each partner brings to SAP Signavio Process Explorer its own unique blend of expertise in SAP and non-SAP scenarios. It’s knowledge beyond the individual, it’s industry and system independent, it’s proven best practices that grow with the community itself and are constantly improved by the community”.
The benefits for customers
By nurturing a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-pollination of best practices, we aim to help our customers (and our partners’ customers) transform faster and smarter.
As SAP Signavio Process Explorer evolves to include content and best practices from the SAP partner ecosystem, organizations will be able to:
- Access best practices from SAP and SAP partners that are innovators in their specific domains
- Leverage SAP partner accelerators linked to knowledge from SAP experts
- Benefit from a simpler, seamless experience that addresses all their needs in one single environment
If you’d like to know more, access SAP Signavio Process Explorer now and start exploring SAP’s and our partners best practices. All you need is an SAP registered user.
Hi Patricia,
hopefully there will also be some sort of introduction to the wealth of information in these tools.
How do you "transport" the content into the field of all consultants, there were also very big differences in the past, because there was a lot of room for interpretation.
The customers I know have relied on SAP best practice in recent years/months, are there differences that are not immediately apparent in the model?
What would you recommend as a first step in the new approach?
Thanks Thomas
Hello Thomas,
with our focus - SMB - we are building up programs that are about understanding and mastering the content relevant for the field and also how to use it as a leverage for the challenges of ERP comparison, building your roadmap and mastering your journey.
As one example currently we are running this program about SAP Business ByDesign vs. S/4 HANA Cloud - Compare the facts! which draws much attention and for which the SAP Signavio Process Explorer and its content is key.

We are building more such programs in the near future. I believe it makes sense, because the idea is that practitioners support practitioners.
Frank
Hi Thomas,
Great question, thanks for raising this up. Currently, SAP Signavio Process Explorer offers full exploration capabilities (it is accessible from our landing page and all is needed is a SAP registered user). Meanwhile, SAP Signavio licensed customers can also apply to the Early Adopter Program for consumption. This program allows users to request content packages they are interested in and import them in their workspace. The plan is to provide the consumption format to all our customers in future releases.
Regarding your second point, SAP Signavio Process Explorer features and will further extend content from different sources, including SAP Best Practices Explorer. The vision to create a precise picture of end-to-end processes, define a clear to-be-state, and of course avoid the complexity for customers of accessing different content frameworks. A point to note is that with SAP Signavio Process Explorer we can provide content directly into SAP Signavio. The SAP Signavio Process Explorer is a solution that is completely embedded into the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite and accompanies our customers in a comprehensive and uniform experience along their process transformation journey.
Please should you be interested to receive a full demo and discuss further, don’t hesitate to contact me directly and will be extremely pleased to set up a slot.
Looking forward to getting in touch.

Hello Patrizia Calvia
Could you tell us more about how to access the SAP Process Map content with Golden Standard for SAP ERP ?
Thank you
Amaury
I browsed around Process Explorer, and as of today, I am bit disappointed, it is not a mature product offering yet. Long way to go till it becomes a useful tool for customers. For example, the TCS so-called "Access best practices from SAP and SAP partners that are innovators in their specific domains " is just a URL link to TCS website and looks like a backlink to the marketing web page on SAP capabilities offered by TCS, which I could access it straight away by a google search. There are no real contents in the Process Explorer itself as of today, at least from the "partner ecosystem". Same story for EY or CapGemini content. This offering needs a major contribution from partners and SAP to make it a success.
Hi Vivek,
Thank you for the message, feedbacks are appreciated. As the blog mentions, partners listed are front runners in the initiative and are progressively adding their best practices to SAP Signavio Process Explorer. At present, content is largely authored by SAP and it’s incrementally being expanded with partners contributions, the vision being to make available to our customers a plethora of practices coming from a variety of specialists and thought leaders in their respective domains. We strongly believe in the vision this blog shares, and grateful to our front runners partners for embracing the initiative.
While new content is added continuously, both on our end and partner side, we would be extremely pleased to set up a live demo with you and navigate you through the assets that Process Explorer already provides (7000 process models, metrics, innovation and product recommendations), discuss the use cases and benefits our customers are obtaining. There is lots to see and lots to come!
Please should you be interested, contact me directly and I’ll be happy to set up a slot for us at your best convenience. Looking forward to talking,
Patrizia
Thank you, Patrizia!
The Fujitsu team is very excited about this initiative, and actively looking for ways in which we can collaborate with the community.
