In this blog post, we will explore the functionality of Navigation Profiles and how they can simplify transitions between related transactions in the SAP PP information system. Specifically, we will walk through an example of how to use Navigation Profiles to move seamlessly from the Production Order List (COOIS, COOISPI) to the Confirmation Screen (CO11N), Stock Overview (MMBE), Stock Requirement List (MD04), etc. By the end of this post, you'll have a better understanding of how Navigation Profiles can help you streamline your workflow and save time in SAP. So, let's get started!

Go to COOIS and select Change Navigation Profile as following:

COOIS - Order Information System

Select the Call Transaction option

Call Transaction

Here you see call transaction-related fields and three check Box.

  1. Skip Initial Screen (that allows the user to bypass the initial selection screen and go directly to the next screen. This can be useful for users who frequently use the same selection criteria or who want to save time by skipping unnecessary screens)

  2. Determine SET/GET Parameters Automatically (refers to the functionality in SAP systems that automatically sets or gets parameters based on certain conditions or events).

  3. Define SET/GET Parameters Manually (this refers to the process of defining system parameters manually, as opposed to automatically determining them. It involves specifying specific values for system parameters)

MMBE - Stock Overview

Add your all required transactions and click on the save button.

Now here enter the profile name and description and continue it.

now you can see your all-call transaction as following

now just click on any button and jump to call transaction 🙂

In conclusion, Navigation Profiles are a powerful tool that can help SAP users navigate between related transactions more efficiently. By using Navigation Profiles, you can save time and reduce the risk of errors by eliminating the need to manually switch between screens. With the example provided in this post, you can begin to explore the benefits of Navigation Profiles in your own SAP PP information system.
