Welcome to our blog series about SAP Subscription Billing’s new features!
We are happy to share several features that were recently released for the integration with SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2302: Launchpad integration, new app names, products and rate element replication to SAP Master Data Integration and backdated changes to subscription parameters. Let’s have a look together in detail:

Launchpad Integration

You can now integrate SAP Subscription Billing apps in the SAP Fiori launchpad of SAP S/4HANA Cloud for the following integrations:

• Subscription Management with Sales Billing (scope item 57Z)
• Subscription Management with Convergent Invoicing (scope item 5IK)

For more information about the necessary settings, see Integration of SAP Subscription Billing Apps into the SAP Fiori Launchpad of SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Integration with the SAP Fiori Launchpad of SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

New App Names

The SAP Subscription Billing app names have changed. This makes the integration of SAP Subscription Billing apps with SAP S/4HANA Cloud apps more seamless for the users as the app naming pattern is harmonized.

Overview of the new names:

  • Manage Subscriptions

  • Manage Billing Data

  • Manage Usage Records

  • Manage Rate Plan Templates

  • Manage Rate Plans

  • Manage Allowance Templates

  • Customer Overview

  • Manage Products

  • Manage Business Configuration

  • License-Relevant Revenue

  • Monitor Rating

Additionally, the direct navigation between these apps has been improved to now open links from one app to another in the same browser tab you were already working in. You can still choose to open links in a new browser tab, by right-clicking the link.

Replication of products and rate elements to SAP Master Data Integration

You can now replicate products and rate elements from SAP Subscription Billing to SAP Master Data Integration.

A separate license is required for SAP Master Data Integration.

For detailed information on this integration scenario, see Integration with SAP Master Data Integration in the Integration Guide.

Backdate changes to subscription parameters

With the Subscriptions API, you can now backdate changes to subscription parameters in the integration scenario Subscription Management for Sales Billing (57Z) for both SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP S/4HANA. For more information, see Update Subscription Parameters in the API Guide.
