Maya Shiff has already described the possibility of sharing in Web Client for SAP Business One by sending document by mail, see https://blogs.sap.com/2022/08/28/share-it-from-the-web-client/. In this blog I want to provide more details about sending mails form Web Client.
First at all, you have more options what to send in your mail: Word document, XLS document, PDF document or URL of the document. Moreover, you can send the document also from view list.
So, how to get to this?
So, first at all you have now two options when you send e-mail: a default one with a Word attachment or the other options:
The other options are e-mail with XLS/PDF or URL of the document:
If you choose any of attachments the mail will be sent like Maya described. But in case you choose Hyperlink in body of Email, the recipient will not be filled. This is clear: your customer does not have access to your database, 😉.
The next option to share document is to send so called mass mail. This can be done from View List. The process is following:
In case you select Multiple Emails the email will created for every selected document. In case you select only one mail the recipient will be not set by Web Client. Please, note that because of the technical and human limitation the number of the documents that you want to share by e-mail in one time cannot be greater than 20. So, in case you want to share 150 documents you need to share those 8 times.
The other 2 options can be already known to you: this is sending URL for the created view list or Excel file that you can export from your view list.
