According to an expert article from Forbes (2022), the implementation of data-supported decision-making models is one of the central challenges of every company.
The basic idea is that machine learning based decision-making models are being developed and used on the basis of existing (big) data. Sounds trivial, right.
This requires technically one or more tools to integrate (as data is stored often in several systems), to orchestrate and to process data.
For this purpose, SAP launched more than five years ago one tool called SAP Data Hub. This has constantly evolved and became SAP Data Intelligence through the “marriage” with SAP Leonardo Machine Learning. This solution allows data to be integrated via connectors and adapters in a heterogeneous system landscape (cloud, on-prem, I.o.T) with streaming or ETL among other things. Furthermore it contains data processing features (harmonizing, enriching, anonymizing, masking etc.) in order to use machine learning models (regression, decision tree, clustering) to derive business critical insights. Both, data architects and data scientists get their money's worth.
