Everything you need to know about the SAP HANA Cloud guided experience

The SAP HANA Cloud guided experience, a free offering that allows users to explore SAP HANA Cloud in a live system, is now available. Register now for 30 days of access to an SAP HANA Cloud tenant and experience the interactive tour through the solution. Read on for all the details.  

What is SAP HANA Cloud? 

SAP HANA Cloud is a single database as a service for modern applications and analytics across all enterprise data. It powers mission-critical applications with one solution at a petabyte scale. With built-in design and runtime capabilities for smart multi-model processing and embedded machine learning, it is uniquely suited for building intelligent data applications.  

What is the SAP HANA Cloud guided experience?  

Using a wizard-like approach, the guided experience takes participants through key workflows and core features of the SAP HANA cockpit and SAP HANA database explorer. The guided experience highlights steps for the user, provides descriptions of each action, and briefly explains each feature. Users can expect to spend about two hours on the guided steps. 

This self-service tour is designed for users who are interested in learning more about SAP HANA Cloud’s capabilities and features. Everyone can register, including customers, partners, students, and employees.  

What can I do in the guided experience?  

Upon registering, users gain access to a database schema residing on a shared SAP HANA Cloud database tenant. The guided experience provides two separate introductory learning opportunities, one for administrators and one for developers. Participants can decide to complete one or both modules.  

After completing the guided portion, users are then free to explore the system, load data into their database schema, write custom SQL using the SAP HANA database explorer, and continue to explore the system on their own until their account expires.  

Register for the guided experience to get familiar with SAP HANA Cloud, and then consider signing up for the SAP BTP free tier to develop a proof-of-concept or pilot project.  

How do I get started?  

Users can register for the guided experience on the SAP HANA Cloud product page by clicking the Experience SAP HANA Cloud button at the top.  

Here is a quick overview of the registration process:  

1. Click the Experience SAP HANA Cloud button 
2. Complete the registration form 
3. Receive a welcome email with a sign-in link and login credentials  
4. Click the sign-in link and enter the login credentials  
5. Start the guided experience
