Document Information Extraction

Document Information Extraction is a machine learning based service which is available through the Cloud Platform Enterprise Agreement (CPEA) and also in the Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO) model. It allows users to simply extract structured information from unstructured documents.

With this blog post, we would like to present you the handwriting recognition feature of Document Information Extraction.

Handwriting Recognition Feature

This feature update enables users to extract handwritten information in English language through the API endpoint Get All Pages Text and when using the template-based extraction feature.

If you would like to increase the efficiency of document processing, it is definitely possible with the handwriting recognition feature. It can be done by enabling the automatic extraction of handwritten information. For more insights about its functionality here is a short demo video.

Feel free to share your thoughts about this feature in the comments below.

What's more?

We would also like to bring your attention to the de-rotation and de-skewing feature of Document Information Extraction. Find more about the supported file formats here. Stay tuned for more updates about this capability.
