Document Information Extraction
Document Information Extraction is a machine learning based service which is available through the Cloud Platform Enterprise Agreement (CPEA) and also in the Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO) model. It allows users to simply plug and play pre-trained models. These models also provide users with additional intelligent capabilities.
In this blog we would like to highlight the new business card extraction capability of Document Information Extraction.
Business Card Information Extraction Capability
With this intelligent capability,
Document Information Extraction can support its users to extract information from business cards in a simple and flexible way.
This pre-trained model for
business card reading is available via API only. It accelerates the process of information extraction and lead creation.
The business card extraction capability also enables users to extract information from different languages, for example English and Chinese. Get more information about the
languages as well as
further details on the help portal.
Locating and reading QR-codes (available for vCard) from business cards is also supported by Document Information Extraction.
As mentioned before that for now the business card extraction capability is only supported on the API level. Additionally, it is
already integrated with SAP ByDesign and SAP Business One “Intelligent Business Partner Data Capturing”. Watch here the
