Let’s explore the Metaverse (and what it could mean for you!)

Let’s move the fog away, eliminate the white noise and look into what value and opportunities the Metaverse can bring to you.

Why? Because I think that there’s more than the buzz and that the Metaverse is not dead.

If you however accept the idea that the Metaverse is inevitable, the question is: How to handle it?

My colleagues of the SAP Intelligent Enterprise Institute are developing a structured workshop  format to explore in 1 day (virtual or on-site) what you could do to go forward.

The workshop starts with Inspiration of early Metaverse scenarios and relevant business fields, followed by a guided exploration to prioritize your metaverse use cases and to link the business and technology view on those.

The result of the workshop is a detailed executive summary with top Metaverse use cases and way
forward – and at the same time, you bring your team together and create a shared understanding on Metaverse opportunities.

While we are developing this format, we are looking for companies – SAP customer or not! – to join us with their teams for a the first proof-of-concept workshops.

If you are interested, please contact me!

      👍 for this topic!

I've always wondering why nobody is looking at the metaverses we already have running. For example there is World of Warcraft one of the or maybe the largest and oldest still running metaverse. The world inside started nearly 18 years ago and data from that world was even used to  e.g. get insights into pandemic spread during Covid. (There was a debuff which spreaded around through some bugs and even the devs had no clue how to stop it without shutting down the servers. There were some safe spaces in the open world where players found themselfes secure)

      Hi Nils

Indeed, there are many platforms already running for years - Minecraft, for example, but don't forget about Ingress from Niantic. What's key to me is the question how we bridge the gap between those platforms and the processes and data our customers hold in their systems.

      Hi Alexander,

I believe Metaverse is really the next big thing with the upcoming Web3 and is definitely underestimated. With Bloomberg predicting a 800B USD market by 2030 and giants like Meta and Microsoft investing big, its time for SAP to scale up as it will definitely be the backbone where the enterprise metaverse will reside.

I would like to participate in the Workshop. Please send details of the same.
