In times of rapid adaptability during the pandemic, many businesses, including SAP Fieldglass, had to expedite efforts to make learning accessible to any individual, no matter the time zone, whenever and wherever it suited them.

However, it’s not enough to say that our educational content is available digitally as a natural replacement for in-person classroom training. Customers and Partners are understandably reluctant to revert to sacrificing their workforce for up to 5 days out-of-office formal training and expect online learning as a minimum.

In this new era of hybrid working, with many still opting to favour home-based work over the office commute 5 days a week; flexibility, empowerment, and choice in how employees undertake their job has been hugely impacted for the better. But there can be at times, an overwhelming feeling of imbalance between getting work done to the same if not higher productivity levels at home than in the office, and also having time for personal development.

Truly, it seems the allowance of time has diminished with a continued surge in online meetings post-pandemic (Gartner predicts that only 25% of business meetings will take place in-person by 2024), quite often scheduled back-to-back, meaning that consideration for natural pause and mental calibration is often overlooked.

Pockets of time on the morning and evening commute, water cooler conversations, grabbing a quick lunch, and travel time between client meetings are all moments we previously took for granted but helped to achieve some state of decompression that many now experience less of in our day-to-day lives with remote working firmly here to stay.

Paired with the universal understanding that humans are creatures of habit and per psychologist John Bargh of Yale University “..most of a person’s everyday life is determined not by their conscious intentions and deliberate choices, but by mental processes put into motion by the environment.” - it’s no wonder that sadly many have slipped back into pre-pandemic behaviours that don’t always prioritise learning.

So it’s never been more valuable to the workforce that knowledge be enhanced, broadened or refreshed in a realistic, time-critical manner to help reach their personal development goals in our once again busy lives. After all, learning is the catalyst for growth.

Cue SAP Fieldglass Microlearning. Put simply, Microlearning is a method that provides targeted learning in bitesize, easily digestible chunks when and where learners need it. Not only are Microlearnings easy on time but they’re also scientifically proven to increase knowledge retention.

And in a world where people are checking their smartphone on average 9 times an hour, it’s equally important that SAP educational content is mobile device compatible. So, you can take a quick Microlearning whether you still have those pockets of time on the daily commute or just need a brief change of focus in your home working setup.

Our SAP Fieldglass Microlearning content is ever growing and includes features such as PMO Dashboard, SOW Type and Resume Ranking among other topics that meet the needs of Customers and Partners based on open conversations and support case statistics. All Microlearning content is brought to you by product experts with knowledge presented in around 4 minutes average per video.
