Effective Data Visualization

There are many aspects involved in creating an analytics Dashboard, or Story in the case of SAP Analytics Cloud. These include creating connections, consolidating your data sources, modeling the data, cleaning it etc. Once those steps are done you can ensure that you are presenting correct data to your audience.

However another vital aspect is to make your visualization of the data effective, according to best practices for dashboard design. By following these guidelines you can ensure that you are communicating the data in an intuitive and user friendly manner.

Join us on our upcoming webcast where Global Solution Architect Ingo Hilgefort will take you through the best practices of dashboard design and data visualization in a detailed, practical, step-by-step, and ready-to-use way.
Focus is placed on a common set of dashboard design rules, such as the usage of different visualization, colors, and text, as part of an overall dashboard design process. These best practices are contrasted with less successful design examples.

The session is product independent.

Key Business Benefits:

  • Attendees will receive an overview on dashboarding best practices for building easy to consume dashboards
  • Attendees will receive detailed step by step material which can be applied right away as part of their next dashboarding project

      Hi Daniel,

If you don't see the session then it is most likely that while you do have access to the SAP Learning Hub, you don't have access to the SAP Enterprise Support Edition of the Learning Hub.

There are several "Editions" which essentially allow you to see extra catalogs of materials.

First step, register for the SAP Learning Hub, edition for SAP Enterprise Support.
      https://support.sap.com/en/offerings-programs/enterprise-support/enterprise-support-academy/learn.html

      1. Register with your s-user ID and password.
      2. Approve login from e-mail that will be sent to you (could take up to 2 hours to receive an e-mail)
This will be sent to the email address associated with the S-User.
      3. Upon first access to the SAP Learning Hub, edition for SAP Enterprise Support, the system will check the eligibility, create an SAP Learning Hub user, and update the catalog

Please try again to register once completed.

      Best Regards,

      Michael.

      Hi all

unfortunately, the registration does not work for me. I enter my S-User and the password and click on Log in. However, the login is not performed, no error message or the like appears, but the fields simply empty again.

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks
      Stefan

      Hi Stefan,

If you have already followed the instructions in my last email above about registering for the Enterprise Support Edition of the Learning Hub, then I suggest you could send an email to sap_es_academy@sap.com with the details.

They should be able to help you sort out the problem.

      Regards,
      Michael.

      Hi,

I logged into SAP Learning Hub then tried the register now link again and nothing.

Interested, perhaps there is another way to host the session besides Learning Hub?

      Emailed sap_es_academy@sap.com

      Thanks!

      Hi Lee,

I believe the only way you will see no result when you click on register now is if you don't have the ES Edition of the SAP Learning Hub assigned.

That is a whole extra catalog of content and it is free to customers with an Enterprise Support (ES) contract.

In the SAP Learning Hub you can check what catalogs you are subscribed to.

      • Click on your account in the top right
      • Click on Manage Profile
      • Learning Subscriptions
      • Here you should see "SAP Learning Hub, edition for SAP Enterprise Support"

If you don't have that then you won't be able to register for this session or access value maps.

Please check and subscribe with your S User.
Once you get a confirmation email you should be able to then register.

If any issue remain please email me: michael.moloney@sap.com

      Best Regards,

      Michael.
