Become a Paid expert for PLATFORM TECHNOLOGIES – Ask an Expert Peer
In January 2018, SAP launched a large-scale pilot of the Ask an Expert Peer support channel for SuccessFactors solutions to test the on-demand expert workforce approach. The feedback received from customers during the pilot was very positive and in this blog I would like to share the exciting news that we are expanding the offering with additional products and invite you to participate. Almost exactly a year ago I announced an expansion by SAP ERP & Finance related products. Now it is time to move forward with Platform Technologies!
What is Ask an Expert Peer?
Ask an Expert Peer lets customers chat on their technical, product-related questions through one-on-one interactions with qualified and approved experts outside of SAP. Ask an Expert Peer is best to deliver fast issue resolution for basic inquiries such as how-to-questions, and all low to medium priority cases.
Ask an Expert Peer is now an official and permanent channel of the Real-Time Support approach. To learn more, visit our FAQ.

Your active participation and contribution on SAP Community is great value to SAP and is highly appreciated. SAP has partnered with Movate (formerly known as CSSCorp/Directly Inc) to support customers with cutting-edge AI and on-demand customer service. The on-demand customer service relies on specialists with special product expertise, who are non-SAP employees, that are interested in engaging more broadly and deeply with SAP customers. Learn more at this site.
For additional questions about the channel and the application process please post in the comments section below. We look forward to expanding this channel with more participation from the many experts in SAP Community.
can you explain what concrete rewards are planned?
here you can read more about this topic https://www.directly.com/hub/c/system-points-and-payments
unfortunately this page isn't public. And even as a logged in user I only see:
"Oh noes! Looks like you’re not allowed to view this page!
Think this is a mistake? Maybe trying signing out and logging back in?"
Maybe I have to wait until my application was accepted.
yes, I believe first you should be able to access that page.
In the meantime I ask the vendor if there is a publicly accessible content about this.
as a now accepted Expert I can also access the Expert Hub and the link you've provided. Unfortunately it only task about the general process how you can cash out. But I think the actual reward depends on SAP. Maybe you have some indication what to expect from the pilot?
see my answer I provided to Jelena, I think she asked pretty much the same question.
"Ask an expert" is what we in the biz call SAP consulting. What's the rate that the consult... I mean experts will be paid for this service?
How are you?
Thank you for your comment. Ask an Expert Peer is suitable for non-business critical medium-low priority cases, so this is not related to consulting, it is rather the domain of how-to questions. To learn more, visit our FAQ.
Yes, experts receive a monetary reward for every accepted answer. Let me get back to you soon with some resources, from the vendor Movate, that describe details about this.
Google -> define: consulting -> that sounds exactly like Ask an Expert. "How to" is consulting.
Compensation is the most important aspect of this engagement to the experts, one would think SAP should figure out the details first, before asking people to sign up. If there isn't a mad dash of qualified experts to apply, I recon that would be the reason.
Good luck with this initiative!
At Support we differentiate between how-to (simple, basic, quick, easy, low effort) versus consulting (complex, lengthy, high effort). Ask an Expert Peer is rather suitable for how-to, just think about lacking system access or screen sharing capabilities to name a few.
We figured out that detail 🙂 , I just wanted to provide you a link which I have to reconfirm due to recent changes at the vendor. In previous projects the compensation has been $30 per answer accepted by the customer.
Superb post and a good initiative towards motivation as well. And an add-on in our side incomes as well. Appreciated.
