Welcome to our blog series about SAP Subscription Billing’s new features!
This week we're happy to share several features that were recently released: Deletion capabilities for rate plans and rate plan templates and enhancements for pending subscriptions . Let’s have a look together in detail:

Delete rate plans and rate plan templates

You can now delete rate plan templates using the Rate Plan Templates app, the Rate Plan Templates API, or the Rate Plan Templates (Pricing Schemes) API. The same applies to rate plans: use the Rate Plans app or the Rate Plans API to delete rate plans that aren't used in subscriptions.
To learn more, see Rate Plan Templates and Rate Plans.

Set pending subscriptions to Rejected

With the Subscriptions API, you can now change the status of a pending subscription to Rejected to indicate that the subscription was rejected and shouldn't be processed further in the system. For example, because the subscription doesn't pass an internal approval procedure.

More data changes for pending subscriptions

Previously, for pending subscriptions you could only edit the start date, the technical resources, and the custom references. With the Subscriptions API, you can now update far more data for pending subscriptions. Most of the attributes on header and item level are now editable with the corresponding endpoints of the API. You can also change the main product and add or remove subitems.

API endpoints that now also support changes for pending subscriptions:

• /subscriptions/{id} (PATCH)
• /subscriptions/{id} (PUT)
• /subscriptions/{id}/billsplitelement (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/contractterm (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/customreferences (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/items/{itemid}/subscriptionparameters (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/notificationsettings (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/payment (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/processes/productchange (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/processes/productoptionsaddition (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/processes/productoptionsremoval (POST)
• /subscriptions/{id}/subscriptionterms (POST)

Note that pending subscriptions still have one snapshot only.
