Free tier for SAP AI Core & SAP AI Launchpad allows you to leverage all the capabilities of the two products, up to certain limits. But what are those limits?
In SAP AI Core, you can choose from many resource plans for the training and deployment of your AI scenarios. In case you are not familiar with the term, a resource plan is basically a combination of CPUs, memory, and possibly GPUs. With free tier, we provide you with the Starter resource plan for free and once you require more resources, you can seamlessly upgrade to a larger resource plan. With the Starter resource plan, you are able to train and deploy a machine learning model to, for example, predict house prices, as explained in our tutorial. In SAP AI Launchpad, you can connect, manage, and operate multiple AI runtimes for the full AI Lifecycle Management. One of the mentioned AI runtimes can be SAP AI Core but you are not limited to that. With free tier, you can connect to one AI runtime and leverage all capabilities of SAP AI Launchpad. For instance, you can manage and operate your created house price prediction use case that runs on SAP AI Core, or you can connect to Business Entity Recognition or Data Attribute Recommendation which are part of the SAP AI Business Services.
