ALM-athon 2022

The ALM-athon is a Hackathon  from SAP in the ALM space powered by the

SAP ALM Summit EMEA 2022

It focuses on SAP Partners who want to leverage ALM solutions and develop own extensions with SAP ALM tools.

The CHALLENGE 2022 was given as follows:

“How could partner solutions or 3rd party integrations add benefits
to customers by extending SAP Cloud ALM with standard APIs?”

The challenge started with an optional ideation workshop at ALM partner conference in May, and
it ends at SAP ALM Summit EMEA with the pitches of the TOP teams.
The winning team will be decided by voting of all summit participants.

The ALM-athon is a virtual challenge between as many teams as wanted to join. This year 12 teams hase registered. Only the TOP 6 team pitches will be presented live on stage at the ALM Summit in Mannheim on 20th of October.

I plan to publisch the links to the video pitches from several teams here after the event to watch them online again.

Hybrid ALM

Driven by digital transformation SAP customers are moving their applications to the cloud. However, companies still have business applications that they operate themselves on-prem. These dynamics are leading SAP customers to federated models, using SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Solution Manager side-by-side. The pitch shows a Model IT Factory orchestrating several heterogonous tools like ServiceNow, Azure DevOps (Jira), SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, Tricentis and Grafana.

NTT Data “X-ProCo” (Cross – Project Cockpit) is an innovative tool provides all full or selective SAP Cloud ALM project data export that allows a simply & easy project setup for upcoming rollouts or new releases. Furthermore a comparison, archiving and reporting functionality is available to operate on this projects in an easy way. This helps our customers to control various project situation such as solution implementation in their countries or subsidiaries as well as other situation in complex cloud or hybrid system landscapes.

In a world of constant business change, the forest of tools that seem necessary to do so grows into a jungle. Transparency within projects is becoming a critical success factor. And right now, SAP Cloud ALM is emerging as a high flyer as it becomes an overarching and centralized project management and orchestration platform with the ALMaritas API Hub .

We developed the solution “Dual Maintenance Tracker” which uses the Task API for SAP Cloud ALM. With the Dual Maintenance Tracker you can manage your transports during an S/4HANA project, where you have to maintain a dual maintenance system track for SAP ECC and S/4HANA.

CALMalytics
