SAP Process Automation at Devtoberfest: join us!
October is coming, and so does Devtoberfest as well.
If you weren’t around for Devtoberfest in 2020 or 2021, here’s a quick video overview of the event:
This year, Devtoberfest includes dozens of short sessions on how to get started with ABAP, UI development, cloud native, analytics and also low-code development, which of course includes SAP Process Automation.
To get started and participate to the sessions, you have first to join the Devtoberfest group on SAP Community and then to plan your schedule. This very short videos show you how to register, and how to pick up your sessions:
Then, to learn more on SAP Process Automation, we’ve prepared 5 sessions for you. I personally recommend not to miss the 1st one in the list below, because it is a very funny introduction! 😂
Sessions on SAP Process Automation – Thursday, October 20, 2022
Get to Know SAP Process Automation with a Fun Example – with Eric Hagen
See how Eric, part of the SAP Process Automation product management team, built a workflow for his daughter to ask for an extension on her nightly curfew. Eric, a very strict parent, demystifies SAP Process Automation and shows you how it can be used to create complex and useful workflows and automations for your work – or personal life. 😉
SAP Process Automation combines the capabilities of the SAP Workflow Management and SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation services, in one product where “citizen developers” can easily automate processes themselves. Business users can use visual tools without coding to automate workflows and processes, while developers can build add-ons and extensions for the business user.
The session will start by showing you how to use the drag-and-drop Form Builder to quickly build forms that let users communicate and interact with your process. And then, you’ll see how to build business rules to create complex decision logic in your processes.
Process Visibility offers real-time, event-driven out-of-box visibility into your processes. Join our experts to learn how to create, configure and manage your process instances and key business KPIs from visibility dashboard using a no-code approach.
See an example of how to automate repetitive work and enhance process flows using automation (RPA bots). These RPA bots can be rapidly built and deployed, both in attended (user sets them off) and un-attended (automatically triggered) modes, for different lines of business, and they can be used to automate data transfers between legacy systems in simple steps. In this session, we will take a deep dive into automations, and how you can build, test and run a bot.
And do not miss this special session with SAP CTO, Juergen Mueller: past Devtoberfest winners will share their experiences from the event in the last two years. They will also get to direct their questions to Juergen. There will also be a few other fun surprises for this session, so be sure to join us live!
So, if you’re a process automation enthusiast, you have now all the links and resources you need to participate in Devtoberfest 2022.
See you soon! 👍🏻
