Launch of Enhanced Financial Data Quality Check in SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA
Dear All,
The Financial Data Quality check within SAP Readiness Check has been enhanced and extended to provide further insights. This new version of the Financial Data Quality check includes the ability to analyze material data, in addition to asset accounting and general ledger data.
Detail View for Material Ledger
Material Ledger is a finance module that is used to manage material inventories. Inventories can be managed in multiple currencies and multiple valuations. It is fully integrated into the general ledger (universal journal).
Inconsistencies
The data displayed in this section is based on the results of the FIN_ML_CORR_RECON analysis in your system. The underlying reconciliation check performs various consistency checks against the Material Ledger module in your system. Once again, it is important to highlight that the Financial Data Quality checks are client specific. It is crucial to carefully analyze and resolve identified issues prior to (or as part of) the SAP S/4HANA conversion project. Please note that, when estimating the resolution effort for the identified inconsistencies, you should refer to the number of different inconsistency types, rather than the total number of inconsistencies. For more information about the identified inconsistency types, refer to SAP Note 2389581.
Materials
This section contains an overview of the identified material numbers by valuation area and fiscal year. To see a detailed overview, use the Export to Spreadsheet function at the top of the table in the Materials section.
Facts and Figures
This section contains information about factors that usually influence the required effort, duration, and cost for data cleansing. Resolving these issues can lead to a significant financial data reduction and, as a result, improve your system’s performance.

The data collection configuration options for the Financial Data Quality check are described in this blog.
As always, we look forward to receiving your feedback.
SAP Readiness Check Team
FI transitions to S/4 can be quite complex as there are many functional changes but also changes in the data structures. Great to see this Financial Data Quality Check which helps to estimate the effort in this area at an early stage.
Last week i already noticed a new tab on the FDQ part, pretty nice that you keep enhancing the readiness check for S/4HANA Conversions as i suspect alot of conversions will take place before 2027.
Keep up the good work!
