Getting started with SAP iRPA 2.0 - Updated 2022

SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (iRPA) is a complete automation suite where software robots are designed to mimic humans by replicating tedious actions that have no added value, it helps reduce human error and save efforts and time.

SAP iRPA is transforming into its better version by releasing new updates almost every week and since it is a Hot-Skill in SAP community everyone is interested in getting their hands dirty with SAP iRPA Extension suite service.

But where and how to start working on iRPA? We have similar blogs available on SAP community which i referenced to when i was learning iRPA but those seem to be a little outdated and the steps in processes have changed and become a lot easier now. So, I complied this short blog which will help you kickstart start your journey in SAP iRPA.

Why this blog? My motivation and personal pain point behind writing this blog post was that all of the mentioned content in this blog is available already but NOT AT ONE PLACE so it gets a little tricky and time consuming to get hold of all the UPDATED CONTENT which would really help one to quickly grasp the IRPA skills. So this is a one stop blog for anybody willing to gain IRPA skill set and that is what makes this blog different.

I intentionally didn't add a lot of snapshots of iRPA interface in this blog because they keep on changing a lot and then it feels a little confusing. So instead of it used links to resources which contains updated steps.

Step 3 – Installing and configuring Desktop components of IRPA in your local system.

Learning SAP Intelligent RPA.

 

Step 1 – Complete “Enter Next-Level Bot Building with SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0” openSAP course.

Step 2 – Assignment : Create a custom automation which takes user’s SAP credentials, SAP system name, system client and email via excel file and then logs in into SAP system automatically. After a successful login an email should be sent out with a success message and logout of the system. (Will help you create automations using screen recorder)

Step 3 – Complete “What’s New with Bot Building in SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0” openSAP course.

Step 4 – Assignment : Setup, deploy and run any 3 SAP IRPA store automation in your system locally.

You'll also be able to create your own new automations or you can even leverage the pre-built store automations and customize them according to your business requirements.
