Product Data Replication is a method that allows to distribute set of Product Configuration Models between systems through a systematic identification and packaging of all objects of a product configuration model with versions. Advanced variant configuration enables efficient modeling of configurable product model with a configurable BOM

In this blog post we are replicating characteristics, Class, Configurable Material, BOM items, Variable table, Configuration Profile and BOM from S/4HANA to S/4HANA cloud.
Let’s look at an example of a product such as a Storage electric battery that can be configured with selection of specifications which are offered as set of product features to choose from. The product features are battery power, battery type for configuring final product. The process of configuration can be used at various stages such as during product enquiry, quotation, sales order or during purchase order.
Sales document processing using Third-Party with Variant Configuration (4R6) is the available scope item which covers the scenario of sales order for material with variant configuration. The master data required for creating variant configuration is shown in the above picture. This blog post covers the master data replication which is the pre-requisite for 4R6.

The communication arrangement is used to create an integration with Product Lifecycle Management - Variant Configuration Integration.
The communication scenario ID used for the 22T- Set Up Configurable Model using Variant Configuration scope item is SAP_COM_0149.
In the SAP_COM_0149, the URL for UPSRCP need head to the client of Premise
The communication scenario ID used for the 22T- Set Up Configurable Model using Variant Configuration scope item is SAP_COM_0160.
