The SAP HANA platform runs some of the most mission critical enterprise workloads in the world. Customers have depended on this strategic platform for over a decade and will continue to rely on it for years to come. The most recent SAP HANA releases – SAP HANA 2.0 SPS 05 (generally available June 2020 with a 5-year maintenance window) and SPS 06 (generally available December 2021) continue to realize massive customer adoption while exceeding quality and stability goals. To continue with our commitment to give assurances to our customers and to help them plan for the future, we are pleased to announce the planned release of SAP HANA 2.0 SPS 07 in April 2023 with a 5-year maintenance window.

The SAP HANA 2.0 SPS 07 release plans to continue to lower total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) as well as provide enhanced usability, security, and smart multi-model capabilities.

Some of the key features of SAP HANA 2.0 SPS 07 include extended monitoring capabilities for Persistent Memory (PMEM) and more online DDL capabilities for partitioning. In the area of security we are including auditing, encryption, and certificate handling enhancements. Furthermore, there are planned additions to our native SAP HANA Predictive Analysis Library (PAL) algorithms to support machine learning use cases. New and improved spatial algorithms, optimized SQL execution and modeling enhancements complement our smart multi-model capabilities of the SAP HANA platform. In addition, SAP HANA cockpit SPS 16 is planned to be available in the Q2 2023 timeframe.
