How Low-Code is Changing Enterprise Application Development

street

We’ve all heard of low-code/no-code, but there are still questions about what it really is and how you can benefit from it. With the latest low-code/no-code application development products, you can develop applications without writing a single line of code. You simply drag and drop components onto a canvas. Many types of applications can be created this way, including mobile apps, website forms, process automation, and user portals. Low-code/no-code thus not only increases the productivity of experienced developers but also empowers business users to participate in enterprise application development – all without having to be an expert at writing code.

In IDC’s latest study (access the free infobrief here), more than 500 IT and business leaders worldwide were surveyed on the topic of low-code development. Some very interesting findings came to light, showing that low-code platforms are catching on. For example, the number of business developer programs has increased by 44% in the last two years. In fact, 98% of companies plan to maintain or increase their investments in low-code/no-code, because low-code development is on average 25% faster than traditional code-based development, giving them a competitive advantage in today’s very fast-changing marketplace.

I will be discussing these insights and other low-code trends, capabilities, and benefits with Maureen Fleming, Program Vice President at IDC’s Intelligent Process Automation, on July 27, 2022. We will also explain how SAP can help you accelerate low-code adoption with its low-code/no-code application development tools. Find out now about SAP’s low-code solutions and how you can benefit in a variety of areas, including building enterprise applications with SAP AppGyver, workflow management, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) with SAP Process Automation, and visually creating feature-rich portals with SAP Work Zone.

And do not forget to register for the webcast ‘Breaking the Code: Low-Code Platform Adoption’ on July 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM EDT. I look forward to seeing you there and hearing your thoughts and questions.
