Our SAP #Hack2Build use case

The NTT DATA Business Solutions team is the winner of SAP #Hack2Build for Integration Suite in 2002, held in June 2022. The presented use case as well as the implementation in SAP Integration Suite convinced the SAP jury, what makes the whole teams very happy. With our use case Integrate SAP Data seamlessly with LeanIX, we showed that it is possible to deliver added value to SAP customers very quickly through intelligent integration between the SAP world and LeanIX for setting up and continuously evolving an SAP Intelligent Enterprise Roadmap towards a modern target architecture.

Value to SAP customers

With the solution, we from NTT DATA Business Solutions, together with partner LeanIX, will help companies to have a kickstart for a S/4 HANA as well as BTP and Cloud strategy implementation. The IT landscape at customers often consists of a complex and grown mix of SAP and non-SAP systems with many ERP systems with country-specific configurations, user-defined modules, interface dependencies and manual workflows. Gaining transparency there and enabling efficient collaboration between the various stakeholders ensures an acceleration of the transformation through

• Optimized strategy and scenario planning for the S/4HANA transformation.


• Faster and more reliable decisions based on current, uncollected data


• Ad-hoc available reports that reduce manual effort for management update

As part of #Hack2Build, we evaluated the APIs of SAP Integration Suite and LeanIX to develop a viable target architecture that would allow more SAP services to be included in the solution. This was achieved by using modern integration capabilities of SAP Integration Suite together with a new LeanIX adapter. This adapter will be extended and made available in the SAP API Business Hub within the next months. With this solution, we also offer customers the option of making data from other systems in their own data center available in an EAM tool.

#Hack2Build: Solution Architecture

LeanIX and SAP partnership helps to speed up SAP transformations

With comprehensive and up-to-date data in LeanIX as well as in SAP Signavio for processes and also in SAP Cloud ALM, customers can build a roadmap in a modern and agile way with the option to adapt the data to new circumstances, if this becomes necessary. SAP and LeanIX announced in June 2022 that they are significantly expanding their collaboration and partnership. Our team would like to support the vision of the partnership with our project from the #Hack2Build event by offering support for integration projects around LeanIX as well as for setting up a roadmap, e.g. for S/4 HANA migrations and shifting workload to SAP BTP.
