Developing functionality to mass change data in Plant Maintenance has been a recurring theme of the SAP EAM Plant Maintenance (2016) Customer Influence Opportunity program. It is only fitting that our last delivery is about mass change as well. This time we are enabling the mass replacement of partners in maintenance orders in list transactions.
You could already search for the assignment of a partner to multiple orders in the IW38 and IW37N transactions, now you can also replace those partners for all of the selected maintenance orders:
The functionality can be accessed in the same menu as the other mass change functions, and can be performed in the background as well. Note that you can not delete or add new partners or partner functions.
The new functionality is available with SAP Note 3165738 or with the upcoming support packages of Enhancement Package 8 for SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA 2020, 2021 and 2022. You can enable the new functionality by implementing either the SAP Note or installing the corresponding support packages, and switching on business function Enterprise Asset Management Part 21 for the classical user interface.
