Random Day Surprise // Global Running Day with SAP Community
On June 1st, we celebrate our Random Day Surprise which we dedicate to Global Running Day.
For those of you who are new to SAP Community: you might already know that for some participation in SAP Community you get awarded badges. The more you progress in your participation, the more active you are, the more badges get uploaded to your profile in SAP Community. With our Random Day Surprises, we like to surprise you from time to time (the badge for this mission will be different for every Random Day Surprise) and award you a badge for simple actions, such as:
- Publish a blog post, comment, question, or an answer
- Like any blog post or comment
- Vote any question or answer up or down
- Follow any person, tag, blog post, question, or answer
- Update your profile picture, “About me” text, expertise, spoken languages, or Elsewhere links
We dedicate our Random Day Surprises to global public holidays. For June 1st, this falls on Global Running Day. For the above mentioned activities in SAP Community, you will receive this badge:
Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages people of all ages and abilities to get physically active. This day plays an important role, reminding us of the positives that running can offer and the power of unification (which is especially crucial for a community like ours). Many people have turned to running as a solution to help release anxiety, gain perspective, cope with cabin fever, and keep up wellbeing. Let’s leverage this day and run together on Global Running Day to reflect upon the challenges we’ve faced and how we can make the world run better.
You run – we plant.
For every image/screenshot/selfie you share with SAP Community that is related to your participation with Global Running Day, SAP will donate a tree.
Participation is easy: Comment on one of the following blog posts that support the initiative by our SAP Community Champion Phil Cooley who will be running with fellow SAP Community members in Melbourne.
Others followed his lead:
- DJ Adams in Manchester
- Thomas Zurek in Walldorf
- Lena Stodal & Svea Becker & Mynyna Chau in Mannheim
- Stephanie De Camara Marley & Stacey Fish in Philadelphia
- Katherine Kenneally in Ireland
- Please join us!
Post your running activity as a comment on the above mentioned blog posts, or this one and we will plant a tree for each image/screenshot/selfie you share with SAP Community! So, please help us combat climate change and sustain critical ecosystems while being active physically.
Thanks for joining us and for your participation!
