Intelligent Automation for SAP Business ByDesign: New bots for Finance

As I have mentioned in my previous blog post today I am happy to share with you that we have just published two new bots which besides the fact of supporting further users effort in automating processes, are at the same time a great example on how to handle and work with user interface of SAP Business ByDesign.

This time we were thinking of users from finance administration teams helping them with repetitive tasks within the area of managing opening and closing periods:

  1. Creation of Closing Cockpit (2F1)
The best description for this bots, lays in its title. The creation of new period end closing is a manual task which needs to be executed on regular basis to fulfill requirements of the financial statement.
The automation takes the required configuration parameters from and creates entries in New Period-End Close screen using the user interface of the application.

Please visit the store for further details and to acquire the bot.

  2. Automation of Open and Close Periods (2F2)
This bot allows user to automate another set of operations in financial administration, which is opening and closing of existing periods. This bot, based on simple configuration, allows to save time of the user who doesn’t need any more to click through all combinations of Company Codes and Set of Books, on top it will also allow to avoid human errors in repetitive tasks.
Please visit the store for further details and to acquire the bot.

Please consider that besides of adding first two automations of financial processes, we were willing also to showcase you on how the RPA bots might be executed on the user interface of SAP Business ByDesign, which in fact is simple.

As always more in depth information might be found in the Technical Specification which is available in the SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation Store or SAP Help Portal

Stay tuned for more to come!

      Thanks Maciej Fuchs !

I may be missing something but it seems you read the UI with this bot but without any screen scrapping. Am I right?

If that is the case, can we know what are you using for the UI automation? A similar thing to UI 5 test recorder?

      Thank you for your attention

      Best

      Hello,

      Thanks for your helpful information.

I tried to test the bot but I couldn't understand how can I get this information and set it when I create a trigger. Could you please advise?
