Go get LaMa 3.0 SP23!
I can’t believe that it’s already mid of May, but it’s time to share with you that SAP Landscape Management 3.0 SP23 was released today.
As usual in my feature blog posts, I would like to highlight 3 new capabilities that came with this feature support pack. All other innovations and improvements can be found in the “What’s New” section on our SAP Help Portal for SAP Landscape Management.
We extended the integration with SUSE Pacemaker Cluster for systems running on SAP HANA databases. For example, we’re now showing Cluster Details like Resource ID and Group ID in the “Operations” view. In addition, operations and related custom processes were adjusted to support High Availability (HA). If you rather want to use your own scripts, then you can do this by disabling the cluster integration via checkbox in the configuration.
We also enhanced the integration with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan). While stopping a system with LaMa, it’s adding a “downtime” work mode to SolMan. If a system is started, LaMa sends a request to SolMan to “shorten” the work mode. This helps to avoid unnecessary notifications by SolMan.
With SP23, we improved our support of SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE). LaMa now shows the status of primary and secondary nodes for systems running on ASE with SAP Replication Server setup, and it starts and stops SAP systems in the right sequence.
My colleague Ann-Christin recorded a short SP23 highlights video to make you more familiar with the new things. Please check it out.
Go get SP23 and enjoy it!
