What’s New in SAP Analytics Cloud Release 2022.09

This blog post introduces the features of the SAP Analytics Cloud 2022.09 release available for SAP Analytics Cloud FastTrack customers. For SAP Analytics Cloud Quarterly Release Cycle (QRC) customers, this release and its features will be available as part of the QRC Q3 2022 release. View the QRC release schedule here.

Dashboard & Story Design
Optimized Story Experience Incremental Update
Optimized Story Experience now supports the following features:
- Linked Analysis* – All Widgets in the Story
- New user interface token for story linked analysis filter
- Story linked analysis filter overrides the same dimension story filter
- All linked analysis does not create local filter on visualization
- Improved loading experience with a progress loading indicator that reflects the state that the story is in

Optimized Design Experience now supports the following features:
- Story Translation Service
- Zero Suppression and Un-booked Data in Charts
Acquired Models Indexed or Non-Indexed by Default
Administrators now have a setting to turn on or off the default indexing of new acquired models in their systems to prevent overpopulating the Search to Insight with unused data models. New acquired models will have indexing set to off by default. To turn this setting on for a model, go to model preferences > Access and Privacy.
Enterprise Planning
Data Locking – Support for Alternate Hierarchies
Data locking states are now shown and can be changed in a story table when displaying alternate hierarchies. This enhancement also applies when the display hierarchy is different from the primary hierarchy. To maintain consistency between hierarchies, lock states on the leaf level are the same as in the default hierarchy. Furthermore, lock states are propagated to higher levels along the display hierarchy. (SAP Roadmap Explorer)
Microsoft Office Integration
Prompts (DWC Scenario)
In wave 2022.07, we introduced Prompts for SAP Analytics Cloud scenarios.
With this release, Prompts now support specific DWC requirements such as range control and member selector for single and multi select.
