  • SAP Readiness Check for SAP ERP usage and data profiling

SAP Readiness Check for SAP ERP Usage and Data Profiling

This SAP Readiness Check scenario supports you in analyzing your SAP ERP 6.0 system during the discovery phase of a transition project to SAP S/4HANA to support identifying the best-fitting transition approach to SAP S/4HANA. The analysis results help to better understand the complexity of a potential transition project and give insights into the configuration and data volume footprint of the current system.

SAP Readiness Check for SAP ERP usage and data profiling covers these key topic areas:

  • Detailed Data Profile
  • SAP ERP Solution Usage Profile
  • Initial Data Migration Profile
  • Organizational Structure Profile

A detailed description of the topic areas can be found in the blog SAP Readiness Check for SAP ERP Usage and Data Profiling – Now in Pilot Phase | SAP Blogs.

SAP Readiness Check for Customer Experience Solutions

The analyses cover the following key topic areas:

  • Solution usage profile
  • Custom developments (both ABAP and BSP enhancements)
  • Custom fields and custom tables
  • Interfaces
  • Add-ons
  • Business functions

      Hi Astrid Tschense,

thanks for sharing this new informations - great news!

One question: We use the Standard SAP Readiness Check for our customers. Should we use these new scenarios additionally beside our Standard Readiness Check or is there a function for embed this in the Standard Readiness Check as an additional tile on the Dashboard?

      Thanks & Regards,
      Manuel Lederle

      Hi Manuel,

thank you for raising that question!

You need to create a new analysis with the collected data for SAP Readiness Check for SAP ERP Usage and Data Profiling. Since the character of the collected information in the UDP scenario (solution usage, configuration and data volume footprint) differs from the results displayed in the SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA (which are "must-dos" to prepare the conversion), we prefer to keep these analyses separate.

But of course it is possible to run both analyses in the same SAP ERP system and it may provide very good insights in an early planning phase to look on both results, for example to support the decision for the best transition path to SAP S/4HANA .

      Best Regards,

      Astrid

      Hi Astrid,

      thanks for the feedback!

Yes, although this is an additional Check (and not a "must"), it would be good for the analysis besides the other pre-checks.
Especially the usage data of the application area´s (Finance, Logistic etc.) would be good for evaluating the best transition path as you said.

      Best Regards,
      Manuel
