Another fantastic hacking journey! End of last year, SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) North America, Latin America and the Caribbean invited over 50 participants representing nine partner teams to join a week-long Hack2Build event around SAP SuccessFactors Extensions built on SAP Business Technology Platform. In April 2022, SAP Partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the winner of the Hack2Build, published its top use case to convey their innovative technology.

Hack2Build is a rapid prototyping initiative for SAP partners. During a Hack2Build, in a short span of one to two weeks, partners turn their ideas and concepts into tangible prototypes with coaching and guidance from SAP experts. Each prototype solves a real-life business challenge and represents the starting point of a full-fledged business solution that creates value for customers on SAP technology.

The event:

In close co-operation between North America, Latin America and the Caribbean a new and successful Hack2Build took place end of October 2021. The event was themed around SAP SuccessFactors Extensions built on SAP Business Technology Platform. Using Low-code or No-code apps to build the prototypes, powered by SAP AppGyver, partners had the opportunity to showcase applications built in only a few days, and making the innovative solutions tangible in just one week.

The champion:

SAP Partner TCS with their prototype “Employee Transfer Plan Simulation” emerged as the winner of the Hack2Build SAP SuccessFactors Extensions built on SAP Business Technology Platform.

The solution:

The winning application provides organizations with policy-oriented solutions, taking into account organization rules and employee preferences, and it also handles complexity in bulk periodic transfers. All managed by an application running on SAP BTP and integrated to SAP SuccessFactors by standard APIs.

In April 2022, SAP Partner TCS published its winning use case to convey its technology and co-innovation with SAP teams in the SAP HANA Academy YouTube channel. This impressive video highlights how TCS participated in the Hack2Build event and co-innovated the use case with the support from SAP’s engineering team.

It reveals the innovative offering that was developed by using SAP SuccessFactors Extensions built on SAP Business Technology Platform.
