Administration & Service Management
New Menu Group Performance
In this release, we are introducing the new Performance menu group within the side navigation panel. The Performance menu group allows administrators to launch performance tools from one central place, eliminating the need to navigate through the whole file repository to launch a performance tool.
To learn more about performance tools that can be launched from the menu, check out the following blog posts by Thomas Fery
- Performance Analysis Tool

- Data Action Statistics and Analysis
- Benchmark Tool
Performance Benchmark
The new Performance Benchmark tool scores and measures how a user’s hardware/software and network configuration contributes to the overall performance and user experience in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Dashboard & Story Design
Optimized View Mode Incremental Update
Optimized View Mode provides several usability improvements when viewing, exploring, and interacting with stories. It also provides performance improvements depending on the dashboard characteristics and executed workflows.
In this wave, field selection cross calculation input control has been enabled. Please note that this feature is not supported in SAP BW models and geographical visualizations.
Data Integration
Manage Permission on Connections
Connection owners can now grant the Manage permission on the Connection object when setting up roles in the Security > Roles page. All users with the role granted the Manage permission privilege will be able to view, edit, and delete any shareable connection on behalf of the connection owner (except SAP ERP, SAP Concur, SAP Fieldglass, and Salesforce). This decreases dependence on one person (connection owner) when it comes to managing a connection and is available in the Admin and BI Admin standard application roles and the System Owner role.
Mobile Analytics
Analytical Applications support in Android App
Android users can now view and interact with analytical applications in the SAP Analytics Cloud Android mobile app.
DWC Live and HANA Cloud live models support in Android App
The Android mobile app now supports stories containing SAP DWC and SAP HANA Live models with SAML single sign on.
Standard S4 Live connection support in iOS App
iOS mobile app users can now access live SAP S/4HANA On-Premise data using a standard S4 live connection with SAML single sign on.
