Along with many of you, I’m excited that ASUG chapter meetings are starting up again. In the two years since the last in-person events, there have been many updates in our user experience portfolio. This includes products, tools, and even the underlying design system that forms the foundation of what you see on every SAP screen. So, we have packaged all our recent innovations into a short presentation that we will share at several upcoming ASUG chapter meetings. We will cover enhancements for SAP S/4HANA Cloud along with updates to the tooling we provide to make it faster and easier for you to build SAP Fiori apps that can run in any environment. This is the start of the 2022 UX roadshow for ASUG.

The topics we will discuss include:

Topic Why it matters
New Horizon visual theme for SAP Fiori The Horizon theme represents a new way that we develop software in addition to a new look and feel. Learn what this will mean to you.
New product home page for SAP S/4HANA Cloud We are continuing to make it easier and more intuitive to use SAP S/4HANA. See how this will make you and your colleagues more effective and efficient with your daily work.
New personalization capabilities in SAP S/4HANA Cloud based on SAP Screen Personas Classic applications have so much functionality, but sometimes include information you do not need. Including the proven SAP Screen Personas solution means you can simplify screens to meet your specific needs.
New flexible programming model in SAP Fiori elements using OData V4 We are making it easier to include custom controls in your SAP Fiori elements apps, giving you the benefits of using a templated approach while maintaining the ability to customize screens to meet your unique requirements.
Enhanced low-code capabilities in SAP Fiori tools to accelerate app development We continue to introduce new ways to simplify how you build apps using SAP Business Application Studio or Visual Studio Code.

The last ASUG email had a list of the many chapter meetings that are coming up. We presented in Southern California a few weeks ago. The British Columbia meeting is on March 31, Northern California on April 7, and Seattle on April 20. I hope you can join us for one of these events.

If you would like us to present in your chapter meeting, please let me know (via email or in the comments). If you can estimate how many people you expect to attend, that will help us secure the travel budget.
