ONBOARDING 2.0 - STORY REPORT FUNCTION


 

ONB 2.0 – Story Reporting Function. Basic Concept & Examples

 

Introduction

In Onboarding 1.0, reporting was included through field keys and Report Centre was not available. Now, Onboarding 2.0, detailed reporting on onboarding tasks and processes is possible easily from the Report Centre. This article will explain how the report is created and a sample report.

Pre-Requisites

  • Enable People Analytics

  • the Create Story permission, and select the schemas you want to use while creating report stories.

  • Enable schema-specific permissions to access data from the schema tables. Refer to the Schema Permissions Required for Using Story topic for more information.

  • Enable the permissions to access module-specific data and to view the employee-specific data.


 

Creating an Story Report with Onboarding content

Step 1: Go Report Center and start creating new report. Select “Story” option when you’re creating




Step 2:  In Query Designer, you can create your own query. Select “Onboarding” under Available Data and drag and drop the Process tab to the left.


Step 3: Select new tables with using show related tables and select columns in tables. You can select the data you want from here according to your report needs.



Step 4: Finish the query and select the object you want to create with selected data. Chart, Table, Section, Image, Shape and Text are available for adding your story canvas. Select Table for list report.


Step 5: Build your table structure under builder then you can change styling.



 


Example Task Status Chart Report

For creating Task Status chart report, Process Task should be selected in the query.


Measure is selected as count and Task Status selected as Dimension. And the chart is shown in below in the story report.


 

Activating People Analytics Standard Onboarding Reports

On the other hand, SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding enables you to perform Form I-9 and E-Verify as part of US compliance for new hires. there are two reports available in the content store which are I9 E-Verify Analysis and I9 Overdue Tasks.


Here is the content of the story report available:

  1. Story: SF_ONB_I9_E-Verify_Analysis_v1.0


I9 E-Verify Analysis

Description
Provides all the details about USCIS Form 1-9 and E-Verify overview by showing all the new hires based on different org units and the new hires which are not going through I-9.

  1. Story: SF_ONB_I9_Overdue_Tasks_v1.0


I9 Overdue Tasks

Description
Provides an overview of the I9 overdue task analysis along with the task details per employee.
