What’s New in SAP Analytics Cloud Release 2022.06

SAP Analytics Cloud is a single solution for business intelligence (BI), augmented and predictive analytics, and enterprise planning with the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning technology. It helps everyone in your organization make fast, confident decisions.

This blog post introduces the features of the SAP Analytics Cloud 2022.06 release available for SAP Analytics Cloud FastTrack customers. For SAP Analytics Cloud Quarterly Release Cycle (QRC) customers, this release and its features will be available as part of the QRC Q2 2022 release. View the QRC release schedule here.

Release Highlights

Analytics Catalog

Remembering of Catalog Filters and Search Across Sessions

The Catalog now remembers filters and search terms when a user signs out of SAP Analytics Cloud. The next time a user signs in and returns to the Catalog, they can easily pick up where they’ve left off to get back to finding the content they’re looking for.

Data Integration

Data Export API – Support for Audit Data

The Data Export API has been enhanced to support the export of audit data. Audit data consists of logging operations performed on rows in a given model with timestamps and username information. With the support of audit data export, authenticated users will be able to securely browse and select models on their tenant, apply filters, and initiate the export of only the data they require.

The Data Audit feature can be enabled via Model Preferences. Data changes will be tracked and saved in a data audit table which can be accessed via Security > Data Changes.

Dashboard & Story Design

Story Dynamic Time Calculations and Variance Improvements

Dynamic time calculations and variances will now display data when the page and story filters are applied on time dimensions.

This feature is only supported for acquired models and is dependant on the New Query Processing engine by HANA MDS. This feature is enabled for newly created models on SAP Analytics Cloud version 2021.02 by default. For models created prior to version 2021.02, this feature can be enabled via Model Preferences.

      Hello Megan,

      Nice Blog!

Just want to ask is there any possibility to create a Report using this audit data based on user id's? So that from the report itself one can check the audit data changes.

      Regards,

      Hi Nikhil,

If you want to check the audit data you can call a report directly in the system: security->data changes.

If you use the API to extract the audit data then you can import the data into an arbitrary system and can build a report in the target system - according to your needs and the options that the target system provides you.

      Best regards

      Gerd
