Enable yourself for SAP Datasphere, SAP BW bridge!

Hello Data Warehousing enthusiasts!

On March 08, 2023 we announced a new product, SAP Datasphere. SAP Datasphere, the next generation of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, is a comprehensive data service that enables every data professional to deliver seamless and scalable access to mission-critical business data. It provides a unified experience for data integration, data cataloging, semantic modeling, data warehousing, data federation, and data virtualization. See more details in this FAQ publication.

In this context SAP Education offers following new training courses:

  1. SAP Datasphere, SAP BW bridge (DSPBW1)
  2. Introduction to SAP Datasphere (DSP01)
  • Duration: 2 days each
  • Location: virtual class via ZOOM
  • Language of system and material: English only
  • Spoken language: English or German

All future DSPBW1 Events:

  1. July 03-04 (Mo/Tu) for Europe in English
  2. July 31-Aug 01 (Mo/Tu) for Americas in English
  3. Aug 31- Sep 01 (Th/Fr) for Europa in English
  4. Oct 12-13 (Th/Fr) for Europe in English

Additional events are currently in discussion will be published here when they are available.

DSPBW1 has a strong focus on hands-on experience and provides many exercises to implement a complete end-to-end scenario. One focus is set on a greenfield approach where you leverage SAP standard extractors to connect to a classic on premise SAP source and transfer the data. The new data model in the BW Bridge is then shared with native SAP Datasphere where it is enhanced and finally consumed in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Another scenario introduced in this training is the migration from SAP BW 7.x or SAP BW/4HANA. A legacy BW data flow is collected and migrated into SAP BW Bridge based on the standard toolset provided by SAP. Finally, the latest innovations are covered as well:

  • Model Transfer from SAP BW/4HANA (Cloud-to-onPremise)
  • Model Transfer from SAP BW Bridge to SAP Datasphere (Cloud-to-Cloud)

As you see in the image below, several components are available for all the DSPBW1 exercises and demos.

Attention: This is not a course for the faint-hearted beginner, because this training rocks!
Prior SAP BW development experience is expected.

      Dear Julien,
of course we are planning to have English-speaking DWBW1 trainings as well.
It depends how much that is requested actually. So I encourage all who would really consider to book this training in English language to leave a short comment right here.

      That would really help.

      Regards, Frank

      Hi,
I think you have to change the location in the SAP Education web shop (on the top right in the header). This means I can see the December class when I change to United Kingdom or Switzerland (EN).

      Hope this helps
      Frank
