Importing financial plan data from external system or exporting plan data from SAP Analytics Cloud to SAP S/4HANA Cloud: Account must be created for each company

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud, you have different options to import financial plan data for which you’ve performed the planning in another system. For example,

  • If you’ve performed your planning in an external system, such as Microsoft Excel, you can use the Import Financial Plan Data app to upload your plan data stored in a CSV file to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
For more information, see Import Financial Plan Data
  • If you’ve performed your planning in SAP Analytics Cloud, you can use the export function in SAP Analytics Cloud to transfer your plan data to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
For more information, see Exporting Data from SAP Analytics Cloud to SAP S/4HANA Cloud

In all cases, you must ensure that the accounts contained in the import not only exist in the chart of accounts but are also created for each company code.

In the past, it was possible to import data for accounts that were not created for each company code in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. As of release SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2022, it’s mandatory that you define the account for each company code.
