This blog post introduces the features of the SAP Analytics Cloud 2022.05 release available for SAP Analytics Cloud FastTrack customers. For SAP Analytics Cloud Quarterly Release Cycle (QRC) customers, this release and its features will be available as part of the QRC Q2 2022 release. View the QRC release schedule here.
Users can now establish a SAP BPC live data connection using the new “Tunnel” connection type. The tunnel connection type will allow users to access SAP BPC live data from outside the company without having a VPN.
Calendar event dependencies are an extension of start by conditions of a calendar event, task, or process. Planning users can now define dependencies to dynamically start a calendar event when one or more predecessor tasks has reached a certain status. In addition to start by conditions by dependencies, child events can be set to start at the same time as their parent process by defining a start by condition by parent process.
Furthermore, users can now create a general task and review task. General tasks lets users assign people to input planning data or do any other work. Review tasks are optimized for any reviewing steps in a workflow, and lets users assign people to check the work result of other tasks or processes.
With enhancements to the App Router, we are excited to announce that Neo tenants will now support the SAP Analytics Cloud add-in for Microsoft Office. The changes in App Router will be available from March 7 for all regions.
While scheduling a story, users can introduce dynamic text to replace email variables content with new values dynamically based on different system variables. Dynamic text allows for more personalization in the story sharing experience at run time and brings more value to recipients.
The following dynamic text elements can be added to the email subject, message body, or file name:
