SAP and Partner visit to TUMO Labs (Yerevan, Armenia)
On October 15, 2021 SAP announced the launch of our new exciting collaboration in Armenia – with EU TUMO Convergence Center for Engineering and Applied Sciences. This strategic collaboration aimed at helping university students and recent graduates understand, utilize and shape digital technologies providing the opportunity to put their creativity to work and connect research ideas to real-world business challenges.
TUMO became a member of SAP University Alliances and TUMO´s students started to work in TUMO Labs with SAP Innovation Center Network on multiple Innovation Challenges to explore emerging topics such as the future of self-service, augmented access control or augmented extended planning and analysis, new AI/ML business scenarios.
On February 18th Igor Belousov (SAP University Alliances Global Content Delivery Director), Valeri Sargsyan (Head of SAP Armenia office) and Tigran Simonyan (Deputy CEO on Platforms and Technologies Development, ACBA bank) visited TUMO Labs and had an interaction with several student’s Teams working on ICN Challenges.
SAP ICN provides challenges and monitors the project’s progress. SAP University Alliances provides access for the students to SAP learning assets to successfully run the projects (SAP Learning Hub, Edition for SAP Next-Gen). TUMO Labs helps in orchestrating all activities, including student’s selection process, provides support for students in soft skills trainings, planning, etc.
As a next step after the visit SAP University Alliances will organise for the students a virtual Demo Day of the learning assets available for them via SAP Next-Gen Learning Room – Students Corner.
Tigran Simonyan liked how the collaboration works, and offered technical mentorship for students from Acba’s IT professionals, including SAP ConversationalAI for chatbot-related Challenge, SAP Tech Q&A Day for students, etc.
Demo of the results of ICN Challenges is planned for April 1st. We are excited to see the outcomes!
