SAP for Utilities Newsletter – February 2022 Issue

Dear Utilities Community,

Yesterday, I sent out the first newsletter of 2022. We shared lots of news, you shouldn’t miss:

In January, we held our SAP Utility Week, where we covered the utilities segments Power Generation, Distribution, Energy Retail, Water, and Waste and Recycling, which are available on demand.

SAP and T|A|C Events are pleased to announce that the International SAP Conference for Utilities will be returning to its in-person format in Munich, Germany from 5-7 July. Watch the video to get a first glimpse of what you can expect.

We have just started a new Customer Connection Project “SAP for Utilities 2022” and a new SAP Customer Engagement Initiative project. Take this opportunity to influence our solutions.

Once again, we are delighted to share your great success stories in this newsletter.

Our water customers De Watergroep, FARYS, PIDPA, Suez, and Vivaqua met with our partner Capgemini and SAP, and recorded great videos about their digital transformations.

NamPower in Namibia uses SAP S/4HANA Utilities to unlock new potential for innovation and increase productivity. The global utilities company ENGIE deploys a digital twin of its solar farms that uses machine learning and IoT to predict and optimize maintenance.

The Australian company TasNetworks digitalized its pole inspection process, creating a mobile app. The Canadian company FortisAlberta transformed warehouse distribution by digitalizing its outdated and slow paper process. Salt River Project in the U.S. is building on SAP SuccessFactors solutions that help HR to improve workforce management.

Many thanks to our customers who spoke about their projects during the SAP Utility Week and those who participated in the SAP Innovation Awards 2022.

Would you also like to share your projects with us? Watch this video or contact me.
