Dear Valued Customer,

On February 8-9, we delivered a virtual SAP MaxAttention Innovation Workshop focusing on “How to create Digital Workplace Experience for the New World of Work” while sharing the latest details and experiences and providing our MaxAttention customers with the vision and roadmap for the SAP User Experience and the best practices. The workshop was hosted by speakers from SAP Product Engineering, Technology and Innovation and SAP MaxAttention Center of Expertise. The topics evolved around SAP Digital Experience. The first day has started with the Introduction of SAP User Experience Strategy and Product Roadmap.

Thomas Reiss, Vice President from SAP User Experience Product Management at SAP, discussed SAP User Experience Strategy and Roadmap for the Intelligent Enterprise. SAP believes that every end-user should get their work done faster, more intuitively and with better outcomes than ever before. With the evolution of SAP Fiori from self-service apps and new face of SAP S/4HANA, native mobile experience, and now, with SAP Fiori 3, companies will experience Consistency across SAP products, and Intelligent and Integrated digital experience.

In the following session, Thorsten Stephan, Head of Product Management, Mobile Experience and Engineering, SAP Product Engineering at SAP, introduced SAP Mobile Experience and SAP Mobile Start. In today’s world, mobile technologies are driving business process transformation. Therefore, it is important to offer experiences for various work environments, various personas, and various devices. SAP Mobile Experience allows you to put your intelligent enterprise at the fingertips of your users.

Next, we moved to the session from Thomas Reiss, Vice President, SAP User Experience Product Management at SAP, and Joachim Sander, Design Lead AI & UX, SAP Product Engineering at SAP, who spoke about how to Build Artificial Intelligence into the User Experience. SAP UX provides AI design principles and capabilities for user efficiency, user trust, effectiveness, and more natural interaction with software.

Fabian Lehmann, Product Manager, SAP Technology & Innovation at SAP, introduced Unified Inbox in SAP Task Center as a single inbox for customers to approve arbitrary SAP workflows in various LoB solutions.

Ulrich Hoffmann, Product Manager, SAP Technology & Innovation at SAP, presented the Low-Code/No-Code capabilities of SAP Business Technology Platform that allow companies to enable their workforce to develop apps. SAP Business Application Studio and SAP AppGyver allow every professional or citizen developer to build apps fast, no matter the skill level. Our vision is to offer companies a unified developer experience that supports low-code and no-code application development and process automation, while enabling professional developers to participate and contribute as needed.

The second day of the workshop has introduced UX innovations.

Florian Buech, Product Manager, Technology & Innovation at SAP, demonstrated Digital Experience Solutions for Intelligent Enterprise – SAP Launchpad Service and SAP Work Zone and discussed the use cases and transition paths from other solutions.

With Sarah Hu, Product Manager at SAP SuccessFactors, we dived in into Employee-Centric User Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone and discussed how to build extensions and rich integration content for various scenarios using SAP Work Zone.

The need for digitalization continues to grow and brings its challenges. Companies need to innovate at a speed that business demands. The complexity of solution landscapes increases. The pool of professional developers is limited to keep up with the demand.

The enterprise user experience is a key success factor for the Intelligent Enterprise. SAP Work Zone is a key UX component that changes the way users work.
Dmitry Chupris, Senior Support Engineer in SAP Cloud Customer Success – UX Center of Expertise, presented the topic “Extend SAP Work Zone and Build Rich Integration Content”. He shared the Overview of architecture and extensibility options in SAP Work Zone with the system demo.

Concluding the second day of the workshop we introduced the SAP MaxAttention service portfolio for User Experience.
Michael Dowling, Senior Director of UX Center of Expertise in Ireland spoke about UX implementation challenges, rapid customer project demands and innovation best practices and focused expert support that can be shared via premium services.

Overall, over 180 participants from 94 companies registered for the event. The feedback from the customer was very positive.
