Automated Collection Reminder using SAP Workflow Management (SAP Hyperautomation Webinar Series 2)
At SAP’s recent second series of Hyperautomation webinar, my colleagues and I were pleased to present information and a demo that showed some of SAP Workflow Management’s capabilities and pre-built content that can help accelerate your journey towards digitally automating and extending your Finance-related business processes.
SAP Workflow Management is a cloud offering from SAP that helps you digitize your processes and decisions, helps you get end-to-end visibility into your processes, and provides a low-code tool to automate your processes. You can model and manage the workflows using Business Application Studio and then deploy the workflows. You can access all deployed workflows via public REST APIs, which makes for a seamless integration with other services in the cloud.
During our session, colleagues from Accenture (SAP Partner) went through one of the Finance use case content package, Automated Collection Reminder, together with the demo showing exactly how to implement the package step by step so as to provide visibility to an Internal Collections team about overdue payments from specific customers for whom dunning notices had been automatically generated from the S/4HANA system.
The key feature of the solution is Workflow Management’s flexible configuration that allows business users without any technical knowledge to configure the business rules, manage and configure additional fields, and add additional steps. Further, users can benefit from Process Visibility in the process workspace dashboard, where they can see runtime KPIs and obtain a clear view on how workflow instances are currently performing, and where process bottlenecks occur.
The SAP Workflow Management content library contains other use cases that you can use per your requirements. The needed end-user guide, use case guide, and setup guide are part of the content, and are all available in API Business Hub.
