A few weeks ago we concluded our Customer Connection project SAP for Utilities on-premise 2021. Once more SAP development has delivered numerous enhancements based on your suggestions we collected earlier in 2021 related to IS-U device management, meter reading, AMI, billing and invoicing. We shared details at our delivery call webinars that took place at 15 December 2021. Have a look at the slides or listen to the recording (in English or German language) under this blog post

At the delivery call, we also mentioned that we are pleased to start a new Customer Connection project with a focus topic dedicated to the utilities industry. Its new project page SAP for Utilities 2022 has already been set up, and kick-off webinars have taken place on 16 February 2022. Slides and recording (in English and German language) are available here. We invite you as our customers and partners worldwide to submit your ideas as improvement requests and to vote for improvement requests of your peers in the timeframe from 16 February to 29 April 2022.

Compared to 2021, the focus topic of this project remains unchanged: All standard functions and processes in IS-U (no matter whether it is part of SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC), SAP CRM and SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities continue to be in focus. While we intend to ship IS-U enhancements as part of S/4HANA on-premise, such customers that run SAP S/4HANA Utilities in a private cloud deployment will be able to take advantage of them as well.

As usual please keep in mind that each improvement request needs at least 5 votes from different customers to be considered, so don’t hesitate to submit your ideas as early as possible to increase your chances.

We are very much looking forward to the continued collaboration within this project. Now it is up to you to send us your ideas how we can improve SAP’s solution for the Utilities industry. In case of questions we will be more than happy to answer them.
