Linear Asset Management – Detail SAP Configuration

Dear Readers,

Linear Asset Management is very popular in Industry’s like railways, roadways, utilities , Oil and Gas where lot of assets are in linear positions , it is used to track the vehicle usage, fuel consumption etc.

I am trying to explain the detail steps tp configure Linear asset management , I hope the reader can follow these detail steps to understand and configure SAP LAM.

Step-1

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define offset types

 

Step-2

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define LRP Type

Step-3

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Organizational Area for Characteristics with Linear Data

 

Step-4

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects->Set View Profiles for Technical Objects

 

 

Step-5

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Additional Data for Object Links and Networks->Define Network Types

 

Step-6

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Additional Data for Object Links and Networks->Define Node Type for Object Link From/To

 

Step-7

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service–> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects->Linear Asset Management->Linear Asset Management->Define Additional Data for Object Links and Networks->Define Settings for Network Attributes->Define Network Attribute Categories

 

Step-8

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Additional Data for Object Links and Networks->Define Settings for Network Attributes-> Assign Network Attribute Categories to Network Types

 

Step-9

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Network Graphic-> Define Node Profile

 

Step-10

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Network Graphic-> Assign Node Profile to Node Type

 

Step-11

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Network Graphic-> Define Edge Profile

 

Step-12

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Define Network Graphic->  Assign Edge Profile to Edge Type

 

Step-13

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Object Links->Define Object Types

 

Step-14

SAP Customizing->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-> Technical Objects-> Linear Asset Management-> Object Links-> Define Media for Object Links

      I'm trying to add tab number 300 according to step 4, but there are not sub screens 300 and 350 in my selection list.

      Could you please advise how can I activate these subscreens?
