Emarsys Innovations – a look back at 2021
I hope you have all had a good start to the year!
2021 was a milestone for us at Emarsys – our first full year as part of the SAP family – and I’m happy to say that we didn’t take our eyes off our customers despite all the additional tasks that go with integrating with a company like SAP. There were those who thought that we might not be as innovative in our first year, but I think we proved them wrong.
Just look at these 5 improvements released in 2021:
- Web Push – Personalized push messages which add your customers’ Internet browsers to your omnichannel strategy.
- Mobile updates – we upgraded our in-app messaging, geofencing and self-service SMS/MMS onboarding to give you even more flexibility.
- Personalization – even more sophisticated, even more configurable, and with new out-of-the-box Tactics.
- Loyalty – Our Loyalty offering just keeps on getting better and better.
- Analytics – we know you can’t base decisions on air, so we’re giving you more and better data to measure and attribute your revenue streams.
I won’t go into more detail here, but I do encourage you to read this excellent blog from my colleague Kirk Donlan. These are all game-changing features – if you are not already taking advantage of them, you need to start doing so now.
What’s coming next in 2022
Our next big release is scheduled for March, but that won’t stop us releasing great new updates all the time. The easiest way to stay across that is to visit our Product Updates page. Here I will list every update to the SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement platform as and when they arrive on your accounts.

Do you have any ideas for features that you think will contribute to our platform? Then why not sign up for our Emarsys Continuous Influence session? Here you can share your ideas with other users, discuss then and vote on them. If we get enough votes on a feature, we’re committed to developing it – you don’t get a deal like that every day!
But please do note that this is only open to users who have an SAP user ID starting with ‘s-xxxxx’. If you’re an older Emarsys customer you might not yet have such a number (unless you are already using a different SAP product). We are working to fix this issue, but in the meantime you can always sign up with the Emarsys Product Pioneers program and make your contribution that way.
