Introduction

I’ll explain how to use the data from Google Spreadsheet on SAP Analytics Cloud.

After reading this blog post, you can import data from Google Drive and create batch scheduling to refresh data.

1. Prepare the dataset on Google Drive

First of all, you have to create a dataset and upload the file on Google Drive.

You can edit data on Google Spreadsheet. The points to change will be reflected after refreshing on SAP Analytics Cloud.

2. Create connection with Google Drive in SAP Analytics Cloud

Then, we will create connection between Google Drive and SAP Analytics Cloud.

Select “From a Data Source”.

Select “Google Drive”.

Select “Google Account” and click “Create New Connection”.

Select Google Account that you upload the dataset.

Select “Allow”.

Fill out “Google Account Name” and “Description”.

Select “Create”.

      Hi Hiroki!

      Thanks,

      Hi Peter,

      Hi Peter!

      Thank you for the comment.

I think this feature is very effective for marketing departments. Marketing departments often use Google Analytics and Google Form to understand market reactions. If they create a connection with Google drive, they can integrate  these data and visualize on SAP Analytics Cloud. that help them to find insights easier.

What's more, It is a common use case in the context of budget planning. Customers sometimes manage and aggregate data by department, region and things like that on Google Spreadsheet. Connection between Google Drive and SAP Analytics Cloud helps customers to reuse it and use the Planning function to do more sophisticated budget control.

      Hi Hiroki San,

Is it possible to update Date across in the upload file instead of Date in a single column, since that is the way we plan the data for easy read and interaction?

      Thank you!

      Hi Valerie,

Yes, you can update all of the "Date" items!

First, change all "Date" raws on the google spread sheet and refresh on the SAC.

      Thanks Hiroki San.

I just want to make sure I provide the clear context for the upload, so I attached a sample of what I want to upload:

      1)

      GL Account Cost Center Company Code Global Currency Version Inter Orde 202301 202302 202303 202304 202305 202306 202307 202308 202309 202310 202311

      61605000 17106400 1010 3000 Budget 25001 3000

      61605000 17106400 1010 10000 Budget 30004 10000

I think the standard template is something like below:

      61605000 17106400 202311 1010 10000 Budget 30004
